Summary Judgment Secured for Events Promoter in Premises Liability Case

Thomas Helbig and Renaud Vann represented an events promoter in a lawsuit arising from alleged assaults at a Philadelphia bar. The plaintiffs claimed that our client was responsible for providing security at the venue and had negligently failed to do so.

We moved for summary judgment, demonstrating that our client acted solely as an events promoter and had no contractual or legal duty to provide security or protect the bar’s patrons. The court agreed and granted summary judgment, dismissing all claims with prejudice against our client.
