Favorable Resolution in Contract Dispute for Transportation Consulting Client

Thomas Helbig represented a transportation consulting company in a breach of contract dispute with an international provider of automated traffic enforcement solutions. The opposing party sought to terminate the consulting agreement and claimed entitlement to more than $200,000 in restitution.

After reviewing the governing contract documents, we asserted that termination would constitute a breach of the agreement and engaged in negotiations on our client’s behalf. The matter was resolved through a favorable settlement under which our client received a lump-sum payment equivalent to an additional year of compensation and was fully released from any restitution liability.
