Fred Santarelli Appointed to Pennsylvania Supreme Court Civil Procedural Rules Committee

On May 4, 2026, Shareholder & President Fred Santarelli was appointed by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to serve on the Civil Procedural Rules Committee for a six-year term beginning July 1, 2026.

Fred has dedicated many years to serving both the Committee and the Pennsylvania legal community. He was first appointed to the Committee in 2011 and reappointed for a second three-year term in 2014. In 2016, the Supreme Court named him vice chairman of the Committee in recognition of his leadership and experience.

Established in 1937, the Civil Procedural Rules Committee is the oldest of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s rules committees. The Committee assists the Court in the preparation, revision, publication, and administration of the Pennsylvania Rules of Civil Procedure governing the Courts of Common Pleas, helping shape civil practice across the Commonwealth.

Committee members are selected by the Supreme Court based on their deep knowledge of Pennsylvania civil procedure and their litigation experience practicing in Pennsylvania courts.

Fred’s appointment reflects his ongoing commitment to serving the judicial system and legal profession and his significant past and ongoing contributions to Pennsylvania civil practice throughout his distinguished legal career.
