Senior Shareholder and firm Vice-President, Thomas J. Elliott, was recently reelected President of the Historical Society of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

The Historical Society was formed more than 40 years ago by a group of federal judges, lawyers, and the Clerk of Court to preserve the history of the Eastern District Court. Today, the Society continues that mission and works to promote civility and collegiality among the bench and the bar.  In recent years, the Society has added a public initiative to increase civic education and awareness of the court’s contributions to American history.

“I’m honored to continue to lead the Historical Society and work with the Board, our esteemed judiciary, and our members, to preserve and promote the rich history of the E.D. of PA,” said Elliott.

The 38th Annual Reception and Dinner is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at the Down Town Club (600 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA), with cocktails at 5:15 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m.
