Matt received his Bachelor of Arts in English and a Minor in Philosophy from The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, Pennsylvania in 1996, and thereafter worked in Washington, D.C. for an international law firm prior to entering law school in 1999.  Matt received his Juris Doctor from The Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State University in 2002, and while there served on the Editorial Board of the Law Review, and was selected for membership on the Appellate Moot Court Board.

Matt has assisted clients in various matters, and his practice has included litigation, as well as regulatory and transactional matters.  Matt has been involved in cases relating to contractual breaches and business torts, trade secrets, zoning, land use and real estate, class actions, products liability, premises liability and election law, among others.  Matt also has provided extensive assistance to clients seeking to navigate regulatory laws and processes, has reviewed departmental filings for compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and has prepared, and provided advice with respect to, contracts of various types.  Matt’s regulatory counseling work has primarily related to the areas of land use, insurance and consumer protection, though his work in this area increasingly deals with insurance law.

Matt is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania State Courts, the United States District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania and the Middle District of Tennessee (pro hac vice), and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.  Matt is also a member of the Pennsylvania and Dauphin County Bar Associations.  Matt, his wife Sarah, and their daughter Alexandra reside in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania.
