Kathryn M. Schilling, a shareholder, practices trial and appellate litigation in federal and state courts, with a concentration in health law, constitutional torts, employment law, and complex commercial cases. She has extensive experience in litigation involving denial of benefits and fiduciary duty actions under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act ("ERISA"). Her practice also includes the defense of employment actions alleging gender, race, religion, and national origin discrimination, as well as class actions and other healthcare litigation involving healthcare financing, payor/provider relationships, contracting and insurance. Ms. Schilling has considerable experience in the area of federal privacy and security obligations under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996.

Ms. Schilling received her J.D. in 1997 from Rutgers University School of Law. While at Rutgers , she served as a staff member of the Rutgers Law Journal from 1995-1996, and served as an editor from 1996-1997. She also authored "Developments in State Constitutional Law, 1995 - Equal Protection," which was published in the Summer 1996 edition of the Rutgers Law Journal. Prior to law school, Ms. Schilling received her B.A. from Loyola College in Maryland in 1993.

A member of the Bars of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey , she is also admitted to practice in the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania , and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Her professional associations include the Pennsylvania and the Montgomery Bar Associations.
