THOMAS J. ELLIOTT PROVIDES CONTINUING LEGAL EDUCATION ON ATTORNEY DISCIPLINE

Senior Shareholder Thomas J. Elliott, was a Pennsylvania Bar Institute faculty member for the program Ethics Potpourri presented on April 27, 2006 at the CLE Conference Center in the Wanamaker Building, Philadelphia, PA.

A former member of the Disciplinary Board of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, Mr. Elliott discussed recent changes to the Pennsylvania Rules of Professional Conduct, including Rule 402 of the Pennsylvania Rules of Disciplinary Enforcement.

Effective on November 12, 2005, this is a major step in creating a more “open system” of attorney discipline. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court adopted these new rules to increase public confidence both in the legal profession and Pennsylvania’s more than 55,000 lawyers.

Mr. Elliott continues his active involvement in the attorney discipline process throughout Pennsylvania, and his membership in the Pennsylvania Bar Association Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee.
