Elliott Greenleaf shareholder Rafael X. Zahralddin will be a panelist on Friday September 2, 2011 addressing corporate compliance issues at the upcoming 36th Annual Hispanic National Bar Association Convention at the Dallas Sheraton Hotel in Dallas, Texas from 9:30 -10:30 AM . Mr. Zahralddin will be speaking on the issues related to reporting of material violations by in-house and outside counsel under Sarbanes Oxley and when withdrawal is appropriate. Mr. Zahralddin will address issues regarding the rejection of the “noisy withdrawal” requirement by the Securities and Exchange Commission for “up the ladder” reporting and the role of compliance committees and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officers. Who must report and when a violation is material will also be discussed by Mr. Zahralddin. Mr. Zahralddin will be focusing also on the whistleblower protections under Sarbanes Oxley. The panel will analyze legal compliance and best practices regarding internal policies and their role in effective risk management.
