Rafael Zahralddin Addresses ABI’s Bankruptcy Workshop

Elliott Greenleaf’s Rafael Zahralddin-Aravena spoke and moderated a discussion on the U.S. Trustees’ proposed new guidelines under Section 330 of the Bankruptcy Code at the ABI’s 17th Annual Southeast Bankruptcy Workshop held in Amelia Island, Florida from July 25-28, 2012. Mr. Zahralddin is the co-chair of the working group of the American Bar Association Business Bankruptcy Committee and also co-chairs the ABA Sub-Committee for Trustees and Examiners.

The panel answered questions regarding the benefits and costs associated with the proposed guidelines and discussed the current law regarding professional fees, ethical considerations, the proposed guidelines, and comments from a variety of professional organizations and law firms submitted by the United States Trustee’s Office since the proposed guidelines were released.
