Elliott Greenleaf represents employers and individuals before federal and state courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission (“PHRC”). This representation includes charges of every type of alleged discrimination: age, gender, disability, pregnancy, race, and retaliation.
We investigate claims prior to and employee filing charges with the EEOC and the PHRC. We have also evaluated, investigated, and answered charges filed against employers, evaluating the factual and legal viability of the charge and potential damages, and advising employers answering allegations of employment discrimination. Our attorneys have substantial experience in evolving issues in employment law, including the damages available, burdens of proof, the availability of relief through summary judgment, and the types of conduct that result in liability.
Elliott Greenleaf’s attorneys have participated in the EEOC’s and the PHRC’s fact-finding investigations and conferences. We also are lead counsel in filing or defending allegations of discrimination in federal court after the administrative proceeding has ended, and resolving those claims appropriate for resolution before the EEOC or the PHRC.
The firm represents clients before the Federal Department of Labor, as well as various state labor agencies. Our attorneys also represent clients through overtime audits, prevailing wage compliance and other labor law, regulatory proceedings and planning. We provide our clients with compliance advices for federal and state labor and employment law compliance, employee termination, retirement and severance planning, employment agreements and restrictive covenants and other varied labor and employment law advices.
