Ms. Weber is a shareholder with Elliott Greenleaf. She focuses her practice on business litigation with an emphasis on labor and employment issues. Ms. Weber is an experienced litigator skilled in representing clients in various business and employment matters, and Constitutional claims, including but not limited to age/race/gender discrimination, hostile work environment, and Section 1983 litigation; actions for preliminary and permanent injunction relief in state and federal courts; workplace investigations; state grand jury investigations; federal investigations; and is often called upon to provide counsel on other sensitive compliance-related matters. Ms. Weber also has extensive experience involving ERISA and employee benefit matters. She represents employers, insurers, and employee benefits plans in litigation involving the denial of life, health, and disability benefits; breaches of fiduciary duty; bad faith; claims of misrepresentation; and indemnification. Ms. Weber has strong communication skills and works directly and effectively with in-house counsel, claims administrators, human resources personnel, and other professionals to quickly identify the issues and develop the appropriate strategy to address or respond to the needs of the particular matter.
Ms. Weber has 20 years of trial experience in both state and federal courts. Ms. Weber is admitted to practice and has practiced and appeared before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and frequently appears before various Judges within the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania. She is also admitted to the Northern District of Illinois. Ms. Weber has extensive experience before the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania and the Courts of Common Pleas in Montgomery, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Philadelphia Counties. Ms. Weber’s practice also takes her before various state and federal administrative agencies. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Weber served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives where she obtained practical experience involving campaign finance and election-related matters. As a State Representative, she was appointed to serve on various committees including the Judiciary, Health and Human Services, and Urban Affairs. During her tenure, Ms. Weber was often called upon by lobbying organizations to lead the debate on issues of importance to her constituents and was recognized as a guardian of small businesses across the Commonwealth. She was previously an Assistant District Attorney in Montgomery County for more than six years, including service as the captain of specialized units. In additional to being lead counsel on several jury trials, including homicide/death penalty trials, Ms. Weber lectured to various victim and law enforcement groups throughout Pennsylvania on evidence-based prosecution of domestic violence cases.
Ms. Weber received her B.A. in Economics from Denison University, her J.D. from Widener University School of Law in Harrisburg, and her LL.M. in Trial Advocacy from Temple University School of Law, graduating with honors. At Denison, Ms. Weber was twice elected captain of Denison’s nationally-ranked women’s lacrosse team; and achieved All-American honors. At Widener, Ms. Weber was Vice-President of the Moot Court Honor Society Board and also competed in competitions both years winning awards for her work on those teams. Ms. Weber is recognized annually as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer and has received the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce’s Wynn Group’s Award for Women’s Leadership Excellence and the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” award as one of the Greater Philadelphia Area’s Most Promising Leaders. Ms. Weber is a member of the American Bar Association; the Pennsylvania Bar Association and its Federal Practice and Women in the Profession committees; the Montgomery Bar Association and its Bench Bar and Women in the Law committees; DRI-Voice of the Defense Bar and its Women in the Profession, Commercial Litigation and Employment Law committees; and the National Association of Professional Women. She also serves the profession as a hearing committee member for the PA Disciplinary Board. Ms. Weber is active in her community where she currently serves on Whitpain Township Board of Supervisors, the Montgomery County Youth Center Board of Managers, and the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association Board of Directors.
