Meghan M. Carey, an associate in the Wilkes-Barre Office, is a 2015 Graduate of the Pennsylvania State University-Dickinson School of Law. Ms. Carey’s practice includes litigation in federal and state courts, with a concentration in labor and employment, education law, municipal law, and civil rights matters.
Ms. Carey is a member of the Bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the State of New Jersey. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Ms. Carey is a member of the Luzerne County Bar Association.
Prior to joining the firm, while Ms. Carey attended Dickinson School of Law, she was a member of the National Mock Trial Team, served as a Community Service Chair to the Public Interest Law Fund Organization, and was a member of the Women’s Law Caucus. Meghan worked in the Cumberland County Public Defender’s office for two years during law school, representing clients in Magisterial District Courts and the Court of Common Pleas. Ms. Carey also worked as a research assistant for Professors Thomas Place and Amy Gaudion. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas A&M University with a major in Political Science, and minors in English and Classical Studies.
