Chad Sweigart is an associate in the Wilkes-Barre office. His practice focuses on commercial litigation in federal and state courts.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sweigart served as a law clerk to the Honorable A. Richard Caputo of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. During his clerkship, he worked on a variety of criminal and civil matters, including civil rights, employment, contract, personal injury and criminal litigations.
Mr. Sweigart received his J.D. magna cum laude from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law in May 2010. He was a member of the Woolsack Honor Society, and also served as an editor for the Penn State Law Review. Prior to law school, Mr. Sweigart earned a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin & Marshall College in 2006, where he majored in both Business Management and Economics.
Mr. Sweigart is a member of the Bars of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the District of New Jersey.
Mr. Sweigart and his wife Caelie live in Mountain Top with their two children.
