Elliott Greenleaf was selected as Delaware counsel to the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Accredited Home Lenders corporate bankruptcy cases pending in the United States Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware. The Debtors, based in San Diego, were one of the nation’s premier mortgage banking institutions. They were engaged in the business of originating, servicing, and selling residential mortgage loans that did not generally conform to the credit or other criteria established by the Federal National Mortgage Corp. and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. These Chapter 11 cases were filed to finalize the wind-up and liquidation of the Debtor.
Elliott Greenleaf was selected based on the Firm’s experience as bankruptcy and reorganization counsel. Managing Shareholder of the Firm’s Delaware office, Rafael Zahralddin, and Counsel Shelley Kinsella are leading the Firm’s efforts in this important matter.
