Elliott Greenleaf’s Rafael Zahralddin is a Panelist at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s 19th Annual Bankruptcy Institute

Elliott Greenleaf shareholder Rafael X. Zahralddin-Aravena, Chair of the Firm’s National Reorganization and Restructuring Practice, served as a panelist on the “Trends in Commercial Bankruptcy” presentation at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s 19th Annual Bankruptcy Institute Forum.  This panel examined issues surrounding credit bidding by secured creditors, corporate governance and the use of independent directors in insolvency, and valuation issues related to preservation of secured creditors’ interests in collateral in insolvency.

The program covered a wide array of topics for both consumer and commercial practitioners and was approved by the Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board for 6 hours of CLE credit. Attendees had the opportunity to hear from Bankruptcy Judges, representatives of the U.S. Trustee’s Office, as well as Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 Trustees, consumer, commercial, and creditor attorneys.
