Elliott Greenleaf wins federal jury trial defeating 14th Amendment invasion of privacy claims

Following a three day federal court jury trial, Elliott Greenleaf won a unanimous jury verdict in favor the former Luzerne County Sheriff, a Deputy Sheriff and Luzerne County in a Fourteenth Amendment invasion of privacy claim based upon a video tape recording of actions taken by the Deputy Sheriff. The jury unanimously concluded the content of the video recording did not sustain a federal claim of invasion of privacy and that Plaintiff’s allegations did not fall within the zone of privacy protected by the Fourteenth Amendment.
