ELLIOTT GREENLEAF PROVIDES INSIGHTS TO DELAWARE MANUFACTURERS SEEKING INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION THROUGH EXPORTS

Elliott Greenleaf’s Mary Kohart, Rafael Zahralddin and Shelley Kinsella assisted six Delaware manufacturers in understanding international law and trade as part of the Delaware Manufacturers Extension Program’s DE ExporTech™ event held on September 27, 2011. The Firm assisted the participating companies in developing their international growth strategy.

The program is a cooperative effort between DEMEP, the Secretary of State of Delaware and the World Trade Center of Delaware to assist Delaware manufacturers develop exporting programs in the face of challenges in : logistics; distribution; international marketing ; and, protection of intellectual property. Elliott Greenleaf instructed the companies on intellectual property protection issues in target countries and on compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, Sarbanes Oxley, Export Controls and strategic opportunities related to compliance issues. The Firm also prepared the compliance materials and assisted the companies in the weeks leading up to the event.
