ELLIOTT GREENLEAF WINS SUMMARY JUDGMENT FOR WILKES-BARRE HOUSING AUTHORITY ON SOVEREIGN IMMUNITY ISSUE

Elliott Greenleaf recently won summary judgment for its client, the Wilkes-Barre Housing Authority (“Authority”), when the trial court agreed with the Firm that the Authority is a Commonwealth agency and not a local agency for purposes of sovereign immunity, and that the cause of plaintiff’s alleged damages did not fall within any of the exceptions for which sovereign immunity is waived.
