Charles J. Meyer Joins Elliott Greenleaf

August 2008 - Charles J. Meyer, a preeminent Pennsylvania matrimonial lawyer and Bar leader, has joined Elliott Greenleaf in Blue Bell as a shareholder and Chairman of the firm's Family Law Practice Group. Mr. Meyer represents clients in all aspects of domestic relations law, including negotiations leading to prenuptial, postnuptial and co-habitation agreements, alimony, child support, child custody and the investigation and litigation of the financial and economic issues related to the dissolution of marriage. His clients include high net worth individuals, professional athletes, entertainers and entrepreneurs.

A native of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, Mr. Meyer received his Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Temple University and his J.D. from Temple University of School of Law in 1986. Following law school, he served in the office of District Attorney of New York County (Manhattan), where he led investigations, prosecutions and trials, including multi-subject wiretap investigations. Nationally recognized for his advocacy, he has been rated AV from Martindale Hubbell and selected as a SuperLawyer by Law and Politics Magazine for every year since inception, including being selected as a top 100 SuperLawyer for both Philadelphia and Pennsylvania.

Mr. Meyer is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He is admitted to the Bars of New York and Pennsylvania, and is an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association and Montgomery Bar Association. He served as Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association, as well as a member of its Board of Governors, Commission on Judical Selection and Retention, Campaign for Qualified Judges, and its Long Range Planning Committee. In addition, he previously served as a trustee of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation and as a Board member of the Golden Slipper Club. He presently is a board member of Boys Town Jerusalem for the Mid-Atlantic region.

He presents lectures and authors articles on significant and cutting-edge domestic relations and related litigation issues, including as a course planner and moderator for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute in multiple seminars.
